Repost: My experiences in the Wilderness
Well I already typed this 2 days ago but had some technical difficulties. This tends to happen when everything you uses runs on a battery or a generator. Let's see life in Mescal, no electricity, no running water, sleeping in a tent, throwing up in bushes, using a port-a-potty and freezing cold showers. Sounds luxurious, I know. Actually all things considered it's not to bad out here. I'm grateful to have the port-a-potty considering my other alternative. Also I haven't had to scrub a toilet in over a month. And JJ has finally potty trained using that blessed port-a-potty. As for no electricity it's not to bad. We borrowed a nice generator from someone in the ward so we can finally have some lights in the evening. When you really start from nothing life can only get better. I will have to admit that I will enjoy this experience more when someone finally rents or buys our home. Right now we look like crazy people paying mortgage on a home and living in a tent.

I thought you were just messing with us. I saw the title come up and I was all excited to see how you were handling things--and then nothing! Glad to see you were finally able to get it to work. How insane is that that JJ potty trained with a port-a-potty? I wish we could see more of what you guys are doing out there-- We need video!
You are Superwoman!
